Q:

What is the Yahoo member directory?

A:

The Yahoo member directory is a database of Yahoo users. It can be searched by name or by information contained in individual Yahoo user profiles.

Yahoo profiles mandatorily include Yahoo users' screen names, as well as their first and last names; however, users' first and last names are only revealed to those with whom they are connected by means of Yahoo Messenger or Yahoo Connections. Yahoo users may also add additional information to their profiles. Any gender, location or age information added is always public, as is any profile picture added. The rest of the information on a Yahoo user's profile remains available only to other Yahoo users with whom the user is connected unless the user choose to make some information public.
