The Ten Commandments are a listing of important behavioral rules in the Old Testament. It is difficult to determine what exactly should be considered an individual commandment and how they should be counted.
They are usually listed as: God is the only god, don't make idols, don't swear falsely in God's name, keep the Sabbath, honor one's parents, don't murder, don't commit adultery, don't steal, don't bear false witness, don't covet what others have.
