In mathematics, slope descripes the steepness, incline or grade of a line. A higher slope indicates a steeper incline. If you have two points on a line represented on a graph, the slope of that line equals (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1).

Q:
What is the Equation for finding slope .

A:
Slope is equal to rise over run. If you have two points on a line (x1,y1) and (x2,y2), the slope . m. would be: m = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1).

Q:
What is the equation for finding slope ?

A:
y – y1 = m(x – x1), where m is the slope and (x1, y1) is a point on the line. The equation to be used on finding the slope of a line is m = (y_2 - y_1) divi...
