Q:

Where can one buy real dragon eggs?

A:

Quick Answer

Komodo dragons are endangered, and it is illegal to sell their eggs. Bearded dragons are often kept as pets, but breeders usually only sell the hatched juveniles, not the eggs. If the eggs are not kept at precisely controlled temperatures at all times after laying, they do not hatch.

Full Answer

Bearded dragon eggs have to be kept at 85 to 87 degrees Fahrenheit and at 60 to 90 percent humidity at all times. The juveniles hatch after 50 to 75 days. Unlike bird eggs, bearded dragon eggs are soft and pliable. Bird eggs can be emptied and the shells collected and displayed, but the soft dragon egg shells just collapse if emptied.
