Full Answer

To communicate a sense of a community in which one lives, it would be effective to describe the government structure, layout, civic organizations, general aesthetics, educational system and what types of people live there. It might also be effective to elaborate on the shared cultural values of the people living in the community and what draws them to live amongst one another. Members of some communities don't actually live in proximity to each other at all. Instead they are brought together by some commonality, such as a religion or hobby. In a religious community, religious tenets, rituals and traditions are keys to a good description.

A community's spiritual beliefs, how it expresses those beliefs and what aspects of the practice bring members of the faith together are good descriptors. A cultural community is another type of community in which people may not necessarily live close to each other but through a shared heritage have many similarities. In such a description, the history and traditions of the culture and how the community preserves them are important in communicating an accurate representation.
